Character-Driven Narratives

At Kurohana Studios, the notion of an all-knowing narrator is rejected. Instead, every story is told from a first-person perspective—through the eyes, biases, and limitations of a character who lived through the events.

This approach means that conflicting accounts of the same event are not errors—they are features. Two characters witnessing the same battle may describe it entirely differently based on their loyalties, their vantage point, and what they chose to remember. This narrative structure mirrors how history is actually recorded: through imperfect witnesses with their own agendas.
